Standing Out in the Age of AI: Brand Differentiation When Everyone Uses AI

AI has made it easier to produce content. But it's also made it easier to sound like everybody else. From social posts to website copy, the tools are the same, but the outputs are blurring together, and brands without a clear POV are at risk of  getting lost.

Join Angela Brown, Head of Marketing at Halda, for a practical session on brand differentiation in a market where everyone and their brother has access to Claude. Angela markets an AI platform in the competitive higher education space, where she's watched differentiation collapse in real time and rebuilt it with intention. She'll share how her team developed a brand voice specific enough to guide AI outputs and a positioning framework distinctive enough to hold up in a crowded field.

Key takeaways include:

  • Why increased AI adoption often produces less brand differentiation, and how to break that pattern before you're unable to see it
  • How to define your brand voice with enough specificity that AI can amplify it, not just approximate it
  • A practical framework for auditing whether AI-generated content is building your brand or diluting it
  • Why the right response to AI commoditization is stronger positioning instead of safer messaging
  • How to compete on differentiation when your rivals have access to the same tools, the same models, and the same data
