AI tools have become part of the standard operating procedure for modern marketing teams everywhere.
Those manually creating every asset, transcribing every meeting, and writing every piece of content from scratch? They’re falling behind. And fast. It probably won’t surprise you that as many as 88% of all marketers are now using AI tools regularly.
But with thousands of AI tools hitting the market every month, choosing the right ones has become exceptionally tricky.
Which ones deliver on their promises? Which are worth paying for? Are there free options that punch above their weight?
We’ve tested numerous AI tools across content, design, video, voice, and automation to find the ones that make a substantial difference. Here are the 10 AI tools that belong in every marketer’s stack heading into 2027.
A quick note before we dive in: You’re probably already using ChatGPT or Claude. These general-purpose AI assistants are the hub of your AI wheel. They’re where you brainstorm, draft, analyze, and strategize.
Everything below? Think of these as the spokes to the wheel – tools built to do more specific tasks brilliantly.
1. Canva
Pricing: Freemium (Pro starts at $15/month)
Best for: Quick design work, social graphics, presentations
You already know Canva. But if you haven’t explored it much recently, it’s worth another look. The AI features added over the past year are practical tools, not gimmicks bolted onto an existing product.
For example, Magic Design generates full layouts from a single prompt, with effective imagery, typography, and color schemes.

Magic Eraser removes backgrounds or unwanted objects in seconds. Magic Write handles copy directly in your designs, generating headlines, body text, and CTAs without switching tools.
The free tier covers the basics, but most will be looking for Pro, which unlocks AI tools, Brand Kit features, and premium templates. At $15/month, it’s hard to argue with the value – especially compared to Adobe Creative Cloud pricing.
Why it matters: You don’t need a designer for every social post, presentation, or email header. With its forgiving learning curve and tons of presets, Canva lets marketers move fast without sacrificing quality.
2. Grammarly (now part of Superhuman)
Pricing: Freemium (Pro at $12/month; Business at $33/month)
Best for: Writing polish, tone adjustments, AI-powered productivity
Grammarly made big moves in late 2025 – the company rebranded to Superhuman and launched a new AI assistant called Superhuman Go. The Grammarly writing tool you know still exists, but now it’s part of a broader suite alongside Coda (workspace) and Superhuman Mail.

What does this mean for marketers? Well, the core writing features remain – tone detection, real-time suggestions across platforms, grammar and clarity fixes. But Superhuman Go adds a proactive AI layer that works across every browser tab. When enabled, it can pull context from your connected apps (Gmail, Google Drive, Jira, CRM) and offer suggestions.
Why it matters: Grammarly is the go-to for checking written content, while the new Superhuman Go additions make it more useful. Though it will take some work to adapt to the new features.
3. Google NotebookLM
Pricing: Free (NotebookLM Plus available with Google Workspace)
Best for: Research synthesis, document analysis, turning written content into audio
This one’s a sleeper. NotebookLM lets you upload documents – PDFs, Google Docs, web URLs, YouTube transcripts – and have a conversation above them. Ask questions, request summaries, and locate connections across multiple sources.
For example, you could upload a competitor’s annual report, industry research papers, and some customer survey results, and ask various questions to synthesize almost anything you can think of.
You can find some examples on the site, e.g. this notebook from The Economist about “The World Ahead.”

In addition to Google-native integration with YouTube and Google Docs, one standout feature is Audio Overviews. You upload your research, and NotebookLM will generate a podcast-style conversation about it.
Two AI hosts will discuss your content naturally, complete with questions and clarifications. It sounds both crazy and gimmicky until you try it. It’s a great way to consume research or discuss ideas. You can now even interject the ‘hosts’ to discuss material mid-way through the ‘podcast.’
The enterprise version (NotebookLM Plus) adds team collaboration and shared notebooks. But the free version handles most use cases without limitations.
Why it matters: You’re probably swimming in information – reports, research, customer feedback, industry news, content you’ve produced, etc. NotebookLM helps you extract value from all that accumulated knowledge, creating a marketing base camp which is arguably more effective than, say, a CustomGPT or Claude Project.
4. Hoppy Copy
Pricing: Paid (Start at $79/month; Grow at $199/month – 20% off annual)
Best for: Email marketing, newsletters, drip sequences, automation
Hoppy Copy has evolved from an AI copywriting tool into a full email marketing platform. It’s designed to amalgamate a stack of tools like Mailchimp, Canva, and Jasper.
The AI is trained specifically for email marketing, however, and this remains its core focus. You’ll find 60+ templates for welcome sequences, product launches, newsletters, and cold outreach.

The spam checker flags words likely to trigger junk filters. Competitor monitoring tracks other brands’ subject lines, frequency, and content strategies. There’s also the Idea Feed, which pulls trending content from your niche and auto-generates newsletter drafts.
The Start plan ($79/month) includes two users, 3,000 subscribers, unlimited emails, and core AI features. Grow ($199/month) adds autopilot newsletter engines, white-glove onboarding with a growth strategist, and expanded limits. Both include a 7-day free trial.
Why it matters: Generic AI copy sounds generic. Hoppy Copy trains specifically on high-performing email campaigns, and now handles your entire email workflow in one platform.
5. Writer
Pricing: Paid (Team at $18/user/month; Enterprise custom)
Best for: Brand voice consistency, enterprise content governance, team-wide AI standards
Writer is one of the original AI writing tools, built for organizations that care deeply about brand consistency and compliance. Feed it your style guide, terminology preferences, and tone guidelines – it enforces them across every piece of content your team creates.
The platform catches off-brand language and suggests alternatives that match your voice. It flags jargon that confuses customers. For regulated industries like finance and healthcare, it ensures compliance. So no unapproved claims, no missing disclosures, no legal landmines in marketing copy.
This is Writer’s absolute strength and competitive moat. One of the headline features is the Knowledge Graph – a system that connects to your company’s data sources (Google Drive, Confluence, SharePoint, Notion) and lets you query everything through AI.
In 2025, Writer launched AI HQ with 100+ ready-to-use agents and a low-code Agent Builder. There’s obviously a lot of depth here, and it’s primarily aimed at medium-to-large teams looking for deep customization.
Why it matters: As AI accelerates content creation, maintaining a consistent brand voice becomes harder. Writer solves this at a scale suitable for larger businesses.
6. Otter.ai
Pricing: Freemium (Pro at $8.33/month; Business at $20/month)
Best for: Meeting transcription, automated summaries, searchable archives
Otter joins your Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams calls automatically, transcribes in real-time, identifies speakers, and generates summaries. After meetings, Otter delivers summaries highlighting decisions, action items, and follow-ups.

It’s also a great standalone transcription tool – arguably the best for picking up and auto-labeling multiple speakers. They recently released a few agents that perform specific tasks on your calls, such as the media agent for interviews or the sales agent for sales-related calls.
The free plan offers 300 minutes per month with a 30-minute limit. Pro bumps to 1,200 minutes and 90-minute conversations, plus export features. Business adds CRM integrations for sales teams.
Why it matters: Never lose meeting data and get more out of every call or audio recording you make. Otter captures any audio as a transcript, labels it, and makes it searchable.
7. Flair.ai
Pricing: Freemium (Pro at $10/month; Scale at $55/month)
Best for: Product photography, e-commerce visuals, branded ad creative
Professional product photography is notoriously expensive. On the other hand, adding products to ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc, and trying to generate product imagery is unreliable.
Flair.ai is a compelling solution, offering AI-generated product shots that look surprisingly professional.
The “Drag and Drop Canvas” is one of the most intuitive elements of Flair.ai, but it has numerous other tools for creating shoots of various kinds. Upload your product image, drag it onto Flair’s virtual canvas, and add props, backgrounds, and surfaces from the asset library, and it will generate the image.

Simple products in standard settings look excellent. Complex products with detailed details need more iteration. Fashion photography – placing clothing on AI-generated models – works well, preserving patterns and logos.
Free tier provides 5 images. Pro ($10/month) delivers 40 images with commercial licensing. Scale ($55/month) adds API access.
Why it matters: Product images are tricky to create with most standard AI tools. Flair.ai makes it far easier to create effective product-based imagery for social media, websites, and other marketing uses.
8. ElevenLabs
Pricing: Freemium (Starter at $5/month; Creator at $22/month; Pro at $99/month)
Best for: Voiceovers, audio content, podcast production, voice cloning
ElevenLabs produces the most realistic AI voices available today. In many cases, you simply cannot discern it from the real thing. Use it for video voiceovers, podcast intros, ad audio, or audiobook narration.
The included voice library includes hundreds of options across ages, accents, and styles. Voice cloning creates a digital version of any voice from a short sample – including your own or a brand spokesperson’s.
The platform supports 32 languages with native pronunciation, making it valuable for global campaigns. This is a key use case – generating multilingual audiovisual content, something that once cost a fortune.
The free tier offers about 10 minutes per month. Starter ($5/month) provides 30 minutes with commercial licensing.
Why it matters: Audio content is everywhere – podcasts, video ads, social. ElevenLabs produces broadcast-quality audio from your laptop.
9. Taplio
Pricing: Paid (Starter at $39/month; Standard at $55/month; Pro at $149/month)
Best for: LinkedIn growth, content scheduling, performance analytics
LinkedIn is critically important for B2B marketers and personal brand builders. Taplio’s AI content generator creates post drafts trained on 500+ million LinkedIn posts.
Feed it a topic, and it produces versions optimized for the platform’s algorithm. The carousel creator transforms ideas into swipeable visual posts – a format that consistently outperforms text on LinkedIn.
Analytics extend deeper than LinkedIn’s native insights. Track which formats perform for your campaigns, identify optimal posting times, and monitor growth trends. Pro ($149/month) adds a database of 3+ million profiles for lead generation.

Why it matters: Consistent LinkedIn presence drives leads, partnerships, and opportunities. Taplio makes sustainable growth achievable.
10. Synthesia
Pricing: Paid (Starter from $18/month; Creator from $64/month on annual plans)
Best for: AI avatar videos, training content, multilingual production
Synthesia creates professional videos with AI avatars – no camera required. Write your script, select from 230+ avatars, choose a voice, generate. Minutes later, you’ll receive a professional-looking video.
You can use it to create video content for almost any purpose. Think product demos for landing pages. Explainer videos for YouTube. Personalized sales outreach. Localized ads for different markets.
Now this is arguably more useful than ElevenLabs, since it does both audio and video together, though ElevenLabs trumps it in raw text-to-speech quality.
Starter pricing begins at $18/month when billed annually ($29/month), giving you 120 video minutes per year and access to 230+ avatars.
Creator jumps to $64/month annually ($89/month) with 360 minutes and additional features like branded share pages and custom fonts. Enterprise offers unlimited minutes with custom pricing.
Why it matters: Video outperforms every content format, but production is expensive. Synthesia makes it accessible for content that would never justify traditional budgets.
